How Long Keep Tattoo Covered

Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight. the harsh rays of the sun may cause your skin to blister and bleach some of the colors from your tattoo. for this reason, it is best to keep your tattoo covered and away from the sun for at least 3 to 4 weeks until the initial healing is complete.. Keep it clean… -wash tattoo for minutes with warm water, & antibacterial soap. -when you leave the shop, your tattoo may be covered with plastic, depending on placement & season. as long as it was properly attended to during aftercare, and is within 1 year of original tattoo date.. Its easy to forget but a tattoo is essentially an open wound and vulnerable to infection so its best to keep it covered until it can heal. an infected tattoo is no joking matter. be patient, it will be worth it.
